Experimental Jewelry: AUKA

I love experimental and unconventional jewelry! I've recently started a series in which I'm featuring jewelry artists who work with unconventional materials and techniques, and who see a ring or a pendant as a canvas to express their art and creativity.

My featured jewelry designer today is Ana from Spain, who works under her own brand Auka. I'm really fascinated by Auka's magical "tiny little worlds" as she calls them herself. Each one of her rings and brooches is an amazing happy little world, a kind of incredible"microcosmos" where a beach scene, a pond with ducks or a prairie with happy cows comes alive. Ana creates these tiny fascinating 3D scenes using silver, resin, miniature figurines and sand. Just have a look, you're going to fall in love!
