December's Birthstone - Turquoise

Hello my friends!!!

December is one of the most wonderful months of the year...isn't it? And why not having also an amazing Birthstone??? Which one? Turquoise of course... I love this stone!

Turquoise is an opaque, blue-to-green mineral,  a rare and valuable in finer grades and has been prized as a gem and ornamental stone for thousands of years owing to its unique hue. Is a beautiful stone that appears in a stream of heavenly colours - from aqua blue to light azure green. It has a pure and uplifting energy, like clear waters in a most ideal natural setting.

In many cultures of the Old and New Worlds, this gemstone has been esteemed for thousands of years as a holy stone, a bringer of good fortune or a talisman ( from Persian and Egyptian royalty to Native People in Americas (North, Central and South America).

Because of its heavenly energy, turquoise is believed to provide not only protection from any negativity, but also a clear connection to the purity of natural elements, especially water and air. The water energy in turquoise can facilitate a better flow of energy in one's body, thus promoting a gentle detoxification and improving the state of one's immune system. Turquoise works beautifully with lapis lazuli, asboth stones bring a pure sea-to-sky energy that is needed for one's growth and overall well-being.

Turquoise can also help one receive higher guidance and direction, as well as live life with more joy and happiness. The calming and uplifting colour of turquoise can bring peace and higher energy to any relationship. Is used as a feng shui cure for attracting wealth and money, as well as a cure to improve one's health and well-being. The calming energy of the turquoise makes it a very good choice for children's rooms (especially teenagers), home office, or the living and family room.

Have a wonderful turquoise day!

August Birthstone...Peridot!!!

Hello my friends!!!

August is here, Summer is here, colors are here! and so the green...and the peridot green!

This is the first time I am having this kind of a post, but I thought it was a great idea to get know more about birthstones! Giving a piece of jewelry containing a birthstone gem will bring the wearer with good luck and protection. Monthly birthstones symbolize the month of birth according to the Gregorian Calendar.

And the birthstone for August is Peridot!!!

Peridot is one of the few gemstones that occur in only one color, an olive green. The intensity and tint of the green, however, depends on how much iron is contained in the crystal structure, so the color of individual peridot gems can vary from yellow- to olive- to brownish-green. The most valued color is a dark olive-green. The bottle green color is called peridot. Yellowish green is chrysolite. Olive green is olivine.

The peridot was believed to be a stone of springtime by ancients who considered it a gift from Mother Nature.

Peridot is a stone of lightness and beauty. Only spiritual or clear-minded persons should use peridot. The person with too many earthly problems will not be able to understand the beauty of the Peridot. The very spiritual can wear peridot in a necklace with the stone at the base of the throat to feel its soothing effect. Used in a necklace, peridot is a protector against negative emotions.

Is also very beneficial when it comes to treating psychological afflictions as well. It is a wonderful stone to help someone who is going through depression. It is a stone of lightness that counters the effects of negative emotions. It has the ability to balance the process of emotional release and detoxifies negative emotions, bringing them to comfortable levels. Peridot fosters emotional balance, security, and inner peace. It soothes nervousness, heals emotional and physical pain, and lightens suffering. It can help one overcome hypochondria. It can greatly improve difficult relationships. It treats phobias, particularly those associated with fears of the dark, becoming like a security blanket to a small child. Peridot represents wealth and financial success (think of its green hue) and also attracts romance.

Peridot is a beautiful gemstone, but mostly I like its color! This bright green just makes you smile! I love green in any shade...in any material...every single creation...

Green and Lime!

Have a wonderful day!
