December's Birthstone - Turquoise

Hello my friends!!!

December is one of the most wonderful months of the year...isn't it? And why not having also an amazing Birthstone??? Which one? Turquoise of course... I love this stone!

Turquoise is an opaque, blue-to-green mineral,  a rare and valuable in finer grades and has been prized as a gem and ornamental stone for thousands of years owing to its unique hue. Is a beautiful stone that appears in a stream of heavenly colours - from aqua blue to light azure green. It has a pure and uplifting energy, like clear waters in a most ideal natural setting.

In many cultures of the Old and New Worlds, this gemstone has been esteemed for thousands of years as a holy stone, a bringer of good fortune or a talisman ( from Persian and Egyptian royalty to Native People in Americas (North, Central and South America).

Because of its heavenly energy, turquoise is believed to provide not only protection from any negativity, but also a clear connection to the purity of natural elements, especially water and air. The water energy in turquoise can facilitate a better flow of energy in one's body, thus promoting a gentle detoxification and improving the state of one's immune system. Turquoise works beautifully with lapis lazuli, asboth stones bring a pure sea-to-sky energy that is needed for one's growth and overall well-being.

Turquoise can also help one receive higher guidance and direction, as well as live life with more joy and happiness. The calming and uplifting colour of turquoise can bring peace and higher energy to any relationship. Is used as a feng shui cure for attracting wealth and money, as well as a cure to improve one's health and well-being. The calming energy of the turquoise makes it a very good choice for children's rooms (especially teenagers), home office, or the living and family room.

Have a wonderful turquoise day!

November Birthstone - Citrine !!!!!

Good Morning my beloved Friends!!!

November is here already and we are closer to Christmas... oh I love that period!!! I love the aroma of cookies and all the desserts, the colors of our Cristmas tree, the lights, the smiles... everything!

So, for November there is another amazing birthstone...Citrine!

1.Pendant 2.Sculpture Tree 3.Bracelet 4.Ring

Citrine is a colour, the most common reference for which is certain coloured varieties of quartz which are a medium deep shade of golden yellow. Citrine has been summarized at various times as yellowgreenish-yellow, brownish yellow or orange.

The name comes from the French word citron, meaning lemon. It was used as a gem in Greece as far back as 300 B.C., and because of its color, is sometimes mistakenly referred to as Gold Topaz, Madeira or Spanish Topaz, or Safranite.  "Citrine" is used in the names of birds and other lifeforms with such colouring to describe their appearance, including the Citrine WagtailCitrine WarblerCitrine Canary-flycatcherand Citrine Forktail.

Natural Citrine is a premier stone of manifestation, imagination, and personal will. Carrying the power of the sun, it is warm and comforting, energizing and life giving. It stimulates the chakras like the sunlight of spring, clearing the mind and stirring the soul to action. Is a joyful stone with bright energy which lights up many aspects of lives of those who work with it. It has energies of good fortune and good luck, though these may appear in unexpected ways.

In crystal healing and healing folklore, citrine is said to be beneficial for the digestion, stomach, nightmares, other sleep disturbances, thyroid, general health, heart, kidney, liver, muscles, strength, endocrine system, circulatory system, tissue regeneration, urinary system, immune system, diabetes, fibromyalgia.

October's Birthstone - Opal and Tourmaline!!!!

Good Morning my beloved Friends!!!

How is your October so far??? I love this month not only because its my princess birthday, but because is a month with a "weird" weather...not like Summer but not also like a pure Autumn. And the colors in the nature are so beautiful... brown shades, green and orange!

So what about this month birthstone???? Well, October has two birthstones, Opal and Tourmaline. Both of them really beautiful and with great colors!

Opal

The opal is a fragile hydrated silica material, made of submicroscopic silica spheres held together by more silica and water. It is a soft stone, easily altered in appearance by changes in heat and pressure. This mineral contains varying amounts of water within it that determine the appearance of the gemstone.

1.Ring 2.Pendant 3.Earrings 4.Bracelet

This gem is famous for its “play of colors” – many stones flash the colors of the rainbow when moved, due to the interference of light on small cracks and other internal structural differences.

Out of its impressiveness and numerous intrinsic qualities, it is popularly referred as ‘The Queen of Gemstones’ and ‘The Eve of Gods’. This gem bestows with wealth, prosperity, beauty, charisma, and power. The ‘healing properties of Opal stone’ is a well talked about subject since ages.

Tourmaline

The alternate birthstone for October is the tourmaline, a gemstone that exhibits the broadest spectrum of gemstone colors.

1.Necklace 2.Ring 3. Flower Ring 4.Silver Wire Necklace

Most tourmalines are found in a myriad of colors: yellow, green, red, blue, pink, brown, black. Some even have bi-colored properties.

Compared with other gemstones, tourmalines are a relatively recent discovery. Hence, it lacks the rich lore that accompanies many other precious gems. However, among some people, the stone is known as the “peace stone,” believed to dispel fear and make its wearer calm.

Tourmaline gemstones have been used in healing and have been proved to have psychic abilities to heal. As Tourmaline stones are available in many colors each stone has its own healing properties.  Red or pink tourmaline attract love and develop love and compassion and acceptance towards others. Blue Tourmaline has psychic abilities. Yellow Tourmaline is specially good for business and job employment. Colourless Tourmaline is best stone for healing.
