November Birthstone - Citrine !!!!!

Good Morning my beloved Friends!!!

November is here already and we are closer to Christmas... oh I love that period!!! I love the aroma of cookies and all the desserts, the colors of our Cristmas tree, the lights, the smiles... everything!

So, for November there is another amazing birthstone...Citrine!

Citrine is a colour, the most common reference for which is certain coloured varieties of quartz which are a medium deep shade of golden yellow. Citrine has been summarized at various times as yellow, greenish-yellow, brownish yellow or orange.

The name comes from the French word citron, meaning lemon. It was used as a gem in Greece as far back as 300 B.C., and because of its color, is sometimes mistakenly referred to as Gold Topaz, Madeira or Spanish Topaz, or Safranite. "Citrine" is used in the names of birds and other lifeforms with such colouring to describe their appearance, including the Citrine Wagtail, Citrine Warbler, Citrine Canary-flycatcherand Citrine Forktail.

Natural Citrine is a premier stone of manifestation, imagination, and personal will. Carrying the power of the sun, it is warm and comforting, energizing and life giving. It stimulates the chakras like the sunlight of spring, clearing the mind and stirring the soul to action. Is a joyful stone with bright energy which lights up many aspects of lives of those who work with it. It has energies of good fortune and good luck, though these may appear in unexpected ways.

In crystal healing and healing folklore, citrine is said to be beneficial for the digestion, stomach, nightmares, other sleep disturbances, thyroid, general health, heart, kidney, liver, muscles, strength, endocrine system, circulatory system, tissue regeneration, urinary system, immune system, diabetes, fibromyalgia.

This week's finds - Neon Geometry!!!!

Good Morning my friends!!!

This period in my country the students have exams in order to enter to the university they choose. I have been "there" many years ago (time goes by so fast...) and I really do know how they feel. Tired, anxious, disappointed... but when they succeed feelings are change! When I succeeded to pass the exams, I thought it was the greatest thing in my life... of course it was, but then I was lucky to have more memorable moments like that... my wedding, my daughter's birth, moments with friends, beautiful trips....

One of my favorite lessons was Geometry! Oh yes... so today my finds are full of geometry but also full of colors just to cheer you up!

Fashion Trends - Color Blocking

Hello my friends!

How was your week? Friday today and I hope you will have a wonderful Friday Night exodus and a great Saturday one.

For this week's post I have a great help (actually the whole text is written by her) from my friend Vasso from PinezaJewelry. Well...actually this Color blocking is something that Vasso knows very well... I don't! hahaha

So lets start....

One of the most popular fashion trends in last years is color blocking. Color blocking trend is everywhere now, from red carpet events and fashion editorials to the street style and our favorite stores.

Choose the right color combinations and get the maximum effect. Be self-confident and never feel afraid to show off your style imagination and mood. However, do not overdo it, as I use to recommend almost in every trend report.

Moreover, although it seems to be easy combining different colors in our outfits, we have to keep in mind some tips:

1. Most of my reads about color blocking suggest us to follow the rule of the “color wheel”.

2. Use solid colours. You’re already bold with color blocking. Hoewever, if you like to add a pattern while colorblocking, try to keep this to the minimum.

3. Try to play within the range of three colors in one outfit . The fourth one will look too much.!

4. Be aware of tone! neons go well with neons, while pastels with pastel hues.

5. Accessorize... You do not want to wear clothing which is too bright? Wear just one or two accessories in colors that are striking.

6. Incorporate neutrals. Wear the classic white t-shirt with bold pants or a skirt and a contrasting blazer!

Fashion Trends - Yellow!!!!!

Hello my beloved friends!

It's time for our weekly Fashion Trends report! And this time our post is for yellow! Spring is here and soon Summer will be, so let's use more colorful clothes or accessories. One of the most usual and at the same time trendy colors to wear is Yellow in every single shade! A beautiful color, very bright that can be wearied in many different styles!

A short yellow dress in 60's style is the perfect choice for our Friday night exodus! Combine it with black cute accessories and black patent leather shoes and you will be always in fashion! A petite and preppy style at the same time!

Yellow can be also combined successfully with beige...another color similar to yellow. Accessories in earth natural tones will give you a romantic outfit, perfect for your office, for a wedding or for a cocktail party!

Ok... I am mostly a casual girl, so the last outfit is... what else...jeans! I love them in any color. So why not in Yellow one? A multicolor bag will give you the advantage of having more colors in your appearance and at the same time the opportunity to have more "hot" details in bright colors. Perfect for everyday Spring and Summer outfit! Just remember, try to avoid combine more than three colors in case you do not use any floral or any drawing cloth.

Fashion Trends - Spring full of Neon Colors!!!

Good Morning my friends!

Have a great month!!! And yes believe it or not, Spring is here! well almost here, since even here in Greece the weather is still cold. However I am in Spring mode, so I just wanted to start this month and this day with a colorful post!

This is my first attempt to write something about fashion, so please do not judge me very strictly!

So here we go... I have read too many articles for Spring/Summer New York's Fashion Week and style trends for this period. Do you prefer pastels or neons? Will you go graphic in squares and plaid? Or will you dare to bare in the new cropped proportions? The amazing thing is that every single style decision is just trendy! So wear what you like, pastel for a romantic appearance or neon for a casual or eccentric one. Both are just beautiful. Create your own style and you will always be in fashion and always will feel beautiful and chic.

Since the day is sunny and I feel like the winter is going away, I really need to put more color in my appearance. And when I say color, I mean neon colors. Spring's vibrant forecast already has us dreaming of ways to style up an outfit that perfectly reflects its rainbow hues.

My proposal is for a casual appearance with jeans (the most common cloth ever) or with pants in 60's style. Use clothes with beautiful neon colors or enriched your simple appearance with accessories in trendy spring colors.

Accessories with bright, neon colors can also be combined with a floral dress and will create an girly appearance! Because all the women sometimes we need and we can be girls again!
