Gorgeous Napkin's Rings!!!

I know … I know…Christmas is almost here and this period is one of our favorites but at the same time full of tiredness! Too many things to create, too many gifts to craft or choose, too many sweets (this part is my favorite :)) to cook! 

And here I am with another tutorial for  Cute Handmade Rings for your Napkins!!! Use your imagination, spare materials that you might already have  and some of your free time and create beautiful and unique napkins rings for your Christmas dinner!

What will we need…..

-      Buttons

-      Cotton Thread

-      Scissor

-      Sewing Needle

-      Satin Ribbon

-      Fabric scraps

Let’s get start!

Cut your fabric in  strips and in the middle of it make with your scissor two tiny holes. Use your ribbon in these two holes and just make a knot at each end. 

On the one edge of the fabric sew your button!

Wrap up the fabric and sew it in the border. You may use Blanket stitch.

Your ring is ready!!!!

Easy, gorgeous and funny project! Enjoy it and Have a wonderful Christmas Decoration!!!

Insta Weekend #3

Hello my friends!!!

Happy Monday!!! How was your weekend? Ours was full of Cristmas feelings! Yes, I know, it might be early enough, but what can I say? I love Christmas, I love the feelings of that period, the sweets, the Christmas tree, the walks with my family and that we almost have free time to see beloved people!

We finally decorate out Christmas tree and this year I had the chance to craft many cute ornaments with my princess. We really enjoyed it!!!

And yes, we also had a couple of walks and a great decaf coffee...I love coffeee and I really miss it his period!

I made my first organza flower a few years ago and was instantly hooked. I haven't stopped making them since and today I remain as fascinated with making fabric flowers as that first day. Even though I've learnt a lot along the way through both experimentation as well as researching new and old flower making techniques the fact that you can manipulate a flat piece of fabric into a flower that can be as realistic or as surrealistic and stylized as you wish is still a source of wonder and joy to me.

I must admit a love for all shapes, sizes and types of fabric flowers and don't have favourites. I love the small ones and the big ones, the simple ones and the over-the-top ones, the bridal ones and the every day ones.

 I am Irene and I like painting since I was a child. Passing through the years I did several lessons regarding design and painting and I continued painting always as a hobby. 

Είμαι η Ειρήνη  και μου αρέσει να ζωγραφίζω από παιδί, με το πέρασμα των χρόνων έκανα διάφορα μαθήματα πάνω στο σχέδιο και την ζωγραφική και συνέχισα να ζωγραφίζω πάντα ως χόμπι.

Bunny The Aviator

 Eventually a friend gave birth to her child and I wanted to get away from the trivial nevertheless useful gifts and to do something more special. This thought became a little piece of art, which my friend liked it very much and somehow this became "La Camera Felice" which means "The Happy Room". 

Κάποια στιγμή μία φίλη γέννησε και ήθελα να ξεφύγω λίγο από τα τετριμμένα, πλην χρήσιμα δώρα και να της κάνω κάτι πιο ιδιαίτερο. Αυτή η σκέψη έγινε ένα μικρό έργο τέχνης που την ενθουσίασε πολύ και κάπως έτσι γεννήθηκε το “La Camera Felice”,  δηλαδή το “Το Χαρούμενο Δωμάτιο”.

Summer Fun

This title, came up spontaneously because in my mind the ideal room should be full of colors, laughs, sweet dreams and art of course!

 I make mostly mixed media paintings using several materials (buttons, fabrics, ribbons, etc). 

Φτιάχνω κυρίως πίνακες μικτής τεχνικής χρησιμοποιώντας διάφορα αντικείμενα (κουμπιά, υφάσματα, κορδέλες, κλπ).

Every kid is unique and that’s why I don’t repeat my paintings. I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy making them!

Happy Birthday my Princess!!!

I know…I know… I was away from my blog for a few days but my Princess had her birthday yesterday and as you can imagine I didn’t want to miss anything from the specific day! So after we had a small birthday party in home, we also celebrated her birthday in the kindergarten with her friends! It was a beautiful small party but a great experience!

And yes we also got her a gift… her first bicycle in hot pink color with strawberries and a cute crash-helmet with Minnie Mouse!

A few good friends of mine also got her gorgeous handmade gifts, that she loved! And I would like to show them to you…

This Week's Finds - Cupcakes!!!

I love them... not really...adore them...I want to eat as many as I can... and I love their decorations! Just with a little imagination and miracles happen!!!

Yeap this week for me is full of cupcakes, since I prepare my princess birthday party. I have so many cupcakes recipes to try and decoration too and so many ideas that I am really confused!

wow..this year for me it was awesome regarding the give-aways  I have won so far a few and all of them had amazing gifts as rewards.

Fashion Trends - Casual Autumn

It was about time to hide the Summer t-shirts in my closet. Autumn is here and so my big belly... yeap we are big enough. So I have to use clothes that will be comfortable and maybe stretchy. And what is the best way rather a casual outfit? Beautiful Black and greyish shades, flat shoes, beautiful shirts and a beautiful detail like an asymmetrical bolero.

Post simple earrings and a statement uncommon necklace and I am ready....

Laura and Heather…our fairytale godmothers!!!!

Hello my beloved friends!

I am really happy and honored to welcome two very talented ladies I have met online. Two sisters, amazing ladies and employed mothers that love to create unique and uncommon accessories for ladies… from our first day on earth since our wedding and not only…!

I am really in love with their creations and I am sure that you will be also. Please let me introduce you and meet Laura and Heather from FeatherRiverBoutique !

Name: Laura Fox and Heather Baker
Occupation: We both work from home. Heather is a controller for a local energy company and Laura is a database admin for a homeschool magazine.
Hobbies: Heather loves to create new designs, sing, bake, and restore old furniture. Laura enjoys photography, singing, and playing the piano and we both enjoy outdoor activities with our families.

Feather River Boutique is a sister team. As kids, we were always coming up with new dress designs for our dolls. Now, with four girls between the two of us, we like to dress up and design accessories for our daughters, whom we regularly use as models.  We mainly design wedding/bridal accessories, hair accessories, and photography props. Heather is the main designer and Laura handles the product photography and customer service, but we each do a little bit of everything.

In addition to running the shop, we both work other jobs from home while caring for our young children. God has blessed us both greatly with wonderful husbands and three beautiful children each. It isn’t always easy running the shop, working, and taking care of our children and our homes, but it is rewarding. We have been privileged to work with some amazing photographers, moms, and brides-to-be. We are so excited to see what the future holds and to meet more amazing friends.

We've been crafting as long as I can remember. Our mom is very crafty and some of that wore off on us. We started the shop when our girl's had more hair accessories than outfits to match them. :) We wanted to share our designs with others and opening our shop seemed to be the best way to do that.

Inspiration comes from all different places. Often, it's a color palette we saw in a magazine or it's one of our daughter's new dresses. It might be an idea for a photo shoot that we need a prop for. It may be the latest wedding color trends. Our four girls have been a huge part of our inspiration. Each has her own little personality and sometimes our designs are created with them specifically in mind. Sometimes, it's a specific request from a customer that gets the creative juices flowing.

Our Favorite materials…… Lots of bling!  We love to use rhinestones and pearls. We use satin in many of our designs too. We also love feathers and lace.

Our favorite creation… Wow, that's a tough one. Sometimes I think I have a favorite and then we come up with something new. I think right now, one of my favorite design is our newborn pink linen bonnet. I love the textures of the linen with the ruffle and the little knots. I love the rich color. I love the versatility. It's perfect for a special occasion, everyday wear, or for photography sessions. But, I also love our bouquets and kind of wish I could get married all over again just so I could use one. ;)

Our hope is that every item we send out is just the right touch for a wedding, or a child's first portrait session, or the perfect gift for someone special. And one day, we would love to be featured in a mainstream bridal or children's magazine.

Aren’t they just adorable? It was a great honor and I feel truly happy I have met Laura and Heather!
