FROM THE ISLANDS...

The new polymer clay pieces are baked and varnished so as to add some shimmer to the colorful little spheres.

The polymer clay pieces with inlaid Greek ceramic beads are ready too. I have made some similar disks with air dry clay.

Look closely to see the different textures... The clay pieces are already sanded, then they will get varnished.

Monday Moodboard - Coffee Lover!

Good Morning and Happy New week my friends!

This is the last Monday Moodboard, as Estella already mentioned in her blog, so I would like to create something memorable…about friendship, yourself, your joy.

Last night I had a really great time with a few new friends and we discussed, laughed, drank… it was super. Since I am a coffee lover and since most of the Greeks have a cup of coffee when they want to see their friends, I created a moodboard full of coffee! Ok… I also have a sweet tooth…and I never drink my coffee without at least a tiny biscuit!

So fill up a cup, grab a biscuit or a tsoureki or donut or whatever and enjoy it. It will definitely calm your nerves and it will definitely make you smile!

Thank you Estella for this awesome game. It was really great to meet other shops and having them in small moodboard collections. Let’s move to the next game :)
Have a wonderful, full of smiles and happiness week!

JEWELRY HELPS KITTIES!

My dear animal and kitty loving friends! Are you looking for a special, unique, meaningful, one-of-a-kind present for yourself or a loved one, while at the same time helping with a great cause? Here is a great way to do so! My friend Joan of God's Little People is doing wonderful, amazing, touching work to rescue cats and kittens in need on a small island of the Cyclades, Greece. Some of you may already have met her on my previous post here, for those of you who haven't I strongly recommend the read! Joan is a wonderful woman, whose heart never ceases to amaze me. Most of Joan's little rescues would never have had a chance to live if she hadn't rescued them... many of them suffering from severe health problems and denutrition. These wonderful rescued cats and kittens now live a happy and sheltered life in Joan's Cat Sanctuary, where Joan and her husband provide these sweet little babies not "just" with food and medical treatment, but with tons and tons of Love.

Joan and I have joined forces to raise some more funds for the huge expenses she is facing for food, medical treatment and neuterings. Joan is now having a fundraising auction with some Annuk Creations handmade polymer clay pendants and Bastet cat brooches at her blog!

SIMPLY AEGEAN

I have once again been carried away by the colors of the Greek Islands of the Aegean...

Inspired by the typical colors of the GreekIslands of the Aegean, with their ever-present whitewashed houses and alleyways, and the stunning blue of the crystal-clear sea... Simple yet eye-catching...

I have topped a handmade white polymer clay disk with a glass cabochon in a lovely shade of turquoise blue, which reflects the light in amazing ways. I have made a smaller version...

... and a slightly larger version...

They are both available in my Etsy shop.
