DIY - Sea Stone Necklace

It was about time for me to be back in my blog, since lately I feel that I am not 100% present. So, today I am blogging about a new tutorial, for a wonderful bohemian necklace with sea stone and beach glasses. I have already posted how to craft unique geometrical bracelets with sea stones and cute rings. So, what is missing?

What will you need
--  Sea stone (I found one yellowish already from a tile)
--  Beach Glasses
-- Color for Ceramics
--   Paint Brush
--   A few beds from wood or bone or whatever you like
- -  Scissor
- -  Leather Cord
- -  Clear Tape
- - Dremel Tool
- - Glow for Jewelry

How to Create it….

First of all use your Dremel tool and create a whole in the stone.

Choose your color and the pattern you want to create and put small pieces of Clear Tape in you rock in a way to create a beautiful geometric pattern. I wanted to create an asymmetrical triangle and I used only mustard yellow color.

Paint the stone in the part that is not covered with Clear Tape. Let it for a while to dry and then remove carefully the tape. Your stone is ready.

Now use your imagination to decorate it with the glasses. Just put glow on them and put them in the stone. Let them dry and go on finish your necklace.

Use the leather cord in the wholes and just make a knot on the end. Use your beads and decorate more your jewel!

Create two knots in the ends of the cord and your necklace is ready!!!!

Isn’t it adorable?

A perfect jewel for your Summer boho outfit!

Happy crafting!

Put them in your cord and create a pattern that you like!

Make a simple knot in one side and another knot with a pasta on the other side!

Your delicious necklace is ready!!!

People say that everyone has a story to tell about his family’s past. Even though he hasn’t lived any of these different stories, they seem to define him, because all this combines up to a common point- him and his very own special story.

Pet goldfish earrings

My grandfathers and grandmothers were people that they left their birthplaces and lived to several other places and conditions of life. That made them creative. One of them was a great influence on me. He was so creative that he recycled, combined and transformed the most unexpected things into a variety of useful constructions or decorative objects. My parents are creative too and support handmade as a way of life. When I was a child, they were always supporting and encouraging whenever I was trying to make something on my own.

Copper butterfly long necklace

I’m a jewelry collector. My collection consists of a variety of pieces; plastic, felt, vintage, polymer clay, metallic, leather, recycled materials ect. Every piece is precious to me. When I find something new I always get excited and want to have it. That’s why I started making jewelry. I wanted to make things that I‘ve imagined or I couldn’t afford.

Coral heart stud earrings

I opened my Etsy shop about 1 ½ year ago and I’m glad I did. I met some nice and intelligent people and I became more creative. In the future, I would like to learn more about jewelry making techniques, especially silversmith, which is a part I have no knowledge about.

Supporting handmade is a life style. You get something unique and well made that tells a story. The first sentence of this story is simple; a person made this with fantasy, creativity and love. The rest is yours, because its purpose, the way you use it, the person who is it for and finally the passing of time make it to get a special meaning.

Monday MoodBoard - My Favorite Greece

My mood today? in blue and white! Today here in Greece we have a national holiday and we celebrate it with parades. The most usual colors in the students' appearance is blue and white, like the sea, the sky and the wind of Greece.

I live in a beautiful country, with amazing people and great weather! I love having trips all over Greece and especially on Summer. In great islands with gold beaches or in amazing mountains with unique sprouting! I love every single place of my country.

Fashion Trends – Stripes

Stripes, the most classical and timeless trend and style in fashion for the past years.  Whether horizontal, vertical, diagonal, thin, thick, black and white or in beautiful colors, stripes make a graphic statement, day or night.  Every year of course the use of the stripes is different. For this Spring and Summer chose them in red and black for a nautical style or in white and black but with different accessories depending on the occasion.  You will see showing up in dresses, skirts, blouses, cropped pants, oversized high waist trousers, knit casual tops... and of course in handbags and  shoes!

Use your imagination and create a stripped appearance with beautiful accessories and you will always be in fashion! Unfortunately stripes can look disastrous if not worn in the right way. So who and how can wear stripes?

Tips
-  Horizontal stripes
Perfect for the slim woman that would like to look a bit heavier or more curvy, especially the bold stripes. Horizontal are perfect to add tension to your smallest parts of your body. For example a woman smaller on the bottom can  use a horizontal striped skirt with a monochrome shirt. if you’re heavier on the hips, wear stripes on tops.

Vertical stripes
The petite woman can elongate her figure with vertical stripes. If you are petite in height, but on the heavier keep the stripe vertical, and choose a smaller stripe, don't use bold stripes. If your petite and on the thin side a bolder stripe will make you look a bit bigger.

 - Diagonal stripes
Perfect for all figure types, but are especially wonderful for the plus size women, as well as tall women with boyish figures. The thin figured woman that loves to look even thinner than thin, the diagonal stripe will make you look even thinner than you are. Use clothes with diagonal stripes and “transform” your thin parts to look more curvy. Because of their schema they create an illusion, think of the direction of the stripe as arrow to your best assets.  emphasize  the best!

And now that we have chosen the correct stripes for our figure, let’s see how can we combine them with accessories or colors.

For a day casual but still unobserved appearance use stripes on shirts with monocrhome pants or skirts or shorts and  chain accessories.

A beautiful 60’s fashion midi dress with horizontal bold stripes combined with pastel shoes and topcoat will be just adorable for your cocktail appearance, for a coffee or a short walk in the afternoon.  Put the finishing touch with minimal girly accessories in pastel colors , while a floral handbag will make your appearance more girly, romantic and unique!

And for the night… just use a stretched  dress in black and white and use accessories in deep colors like passion red or cobalt blue. You will be definitely the  focal point!

Stripes are forever...
