A simple, minimal necklace... Handmade ceramic beads (or Egyptian paste -- not sure, these beads are vintage finds) and cord, closed with a wooden bead.

I gave new life to an old bracelet... I love the contrast of the handmade ceramic beads with the shiny glass beads, it's a very summery bracelet, with the colors of deep blue skies and sea!

TIME TO WEAR MY MOST BEAUTIFUL BAG AGAIN

It's time for my wonderful, beloved bag again! I am the lucky owner of an amazing hand crafted bag by Joan. I SO love this bag, and not "just" because it's one-of-a-kind and there is no-one else in the world having the same... I always feel like it's "alive", because I can feel the love and craftmanship which was put into this bag. There is so much love in this little bag. I love its little loving, handstitched details, I love the textures and colors, I love its totally unique quality. It fits my style so well... somewhere between bohemian, girlie and fairy-tale. I think that this bag and I were made for each other. Yes, it's a match made in heaven :) In spite of its girlie appearance, this bag is a high-quality piece made with high skill and haute-couture quality. Each detail is a piece of art in itself, the inner lining matching the outside in beauty and craftmanship. Besides being the most wonderful soul and doing amazing work in her cat sanctuary on Syros, Greece, Joan is a talented artist and has been a successful textile and accessories designer back in her Danish days -- her work being featured in magazines and carried by celebrity shops. But since she and her husband have chosen this little Greek island as their permanent home, Joan has found her true life path in helping cats in need. She is the most GENEROUS soul ever, and I feel so thankful for knowing her and for being able to call her my friend. A RING AND A KITTY

During my photo shoot, I had a sweet little helper... Lilli checking my work! :) I was trying to capture the amazing color in this playful ring which I so love... but perhaps the best photo is still the one I took in Rhodes, where the color of the glass really matches the color of the sea. This is my own ring, and I love wearing it! But I have made other similar rings, in other colors too, and they will soon be available in my shop.

A LITTLE BUTTERFLY

I have been wearing this petite ring quite often these days... I bought it in Prague many years ago, and I love it! It's a handmade little piece of wearable art, made from copper and enameled in purple and lilac and blue tones. I love the sweet little butterfly... And I love the smooth, lovely feel of the ring. It's very special, and it's one-of-a-kind! A handmade work of art is so much more than the "object" itself... you are wearing/using/touching/looking at someone's Art and soul. A Czech artist I have never met has put his/her soul into this little work of art... isn't that amazing?

LAVA BRACELET

I've always been fascinated by lava beads. Wearing a piece of lava jewelry literally means wearing the core of our Earth.

Lava refers both to molten rock expelled by a volcano during an eruption and the resulting rock after solidification and cooling. This molten rock is formed in the interior of some planets, including Earth, and some of their satellites. When first erupted from a volcanic vent, lava is a liquid at temperatures from 700 °C to 1,200 °C (1,300 °F to 2,200 °F). Up to 100,000 times as viscous as water, lava can flow great distances before cooling and solidifying.
A lava flow is a moving outpouring of lava, which is created during a non-explosive effusive eruption. When it has stopped moving, lava solidifies to form igneous rock. The term lava flow is commonly shortened to lava. The word "lava" comes from Italian, and is probably derived from the Latin word labes which means a fall or slide.

STILL SUMMER!

To tell you the truth, I love wearing bright, colorful, bold jewelry all year long... it's summer for me all year long -- jewelry-wise, at least! :) But in the summer it's even more fun, as colors really pop in the sun!
