SUMMER BLUES

I gave new life to an old bracelet... I love the contrast of the handmade ceramic beads with the shiny glass beads, it's a very summery bracelet, with the colors of deep blue skies and sea!

DIY - Sea Stone Bracelet

Happy New Week!!!

Monday is here and a wonderful weekend just passed! I hope your weekend was amazing also!

A new tutorial is here, an idea about handmade bracelet with sea stone! I have already showed you how to create a ring with a Sea stone and now we are going to create a beautiful bracelet.

What will you need….
A sea stone ( I found one blue already from a tile)
One Wood Bead
Color for Ceramics
Paint brush
Scissor
Leather cord
Clear Tape
Dremel tool

How to create it…

First of all we have to create two holes in the stone. I used my dremel tool to do it!

Choose your color and put small pieces of Clear Tape in you rock in a way to create a beautiful geometric pattern. I wanted to create an asymmetrical line.

Paint your rock with your color of your taste between the tape.

Remove the tape and your pattern is ready! If you wish you can leave it for a while and then repeat the above steps with another color. In that way you will create a beautiful and colorful geometric pattern.

I used only mustard yellow color and I painted the stone just in order to create a line and nothing more…very minimal!

Use the leather cord in your wholes and just make a knot on both sides.

Another knot at the end of the cord, while at the other side add the wooden bead and your bracelet is ready!

Use your imagination to create a beautiful jewel with more beads or colors or ribbons and cords. I just wanted to create for myself a minimal, bohemian bracelet, perfect for Summer and of course perfect for stacking it with other minimal bracelets!

Enjoy crafting!!!!

Just stay in touch with Ef Zin Creations blog for more tutorials… another one is coming for jewelry crafting! Happy new week!

Fashion Trends - Color Blocking No 2

Good Morning my friends!

Friday is already here!!! wow...time goes by so fast sometimes! Today there are two different posts in my blog since Fashion Trends are up and also my first blog hop as a co-host! For the second one, I am really honored and it will be a great experience to join this party and meet other bloggers!

So lets see... on previous week my friend Vasso from PinezaJewelry started a beautiful Fashion Trends post for Color Blocking. She also shared with us a few tips about it. I decided to continue with this topic also today, but I have a common color for my three outfits...and this is orange! Maybe one of the greatest colors for this period but it is also a beautiful color for Autumn...or Spring...even for winter!

A beautiful idea for your Friday exodus is always an outfit with two bright colors. Use a monochrome dress and combine it with also monochrome accessories from another bright color...Monaco Blue for example!

1.Dress 2.Earrings 3.Bracelet 4.Shoes

Floral is always in fashion, so a beautiful maxi dress with  big and bold print can be perfect for a romantic outfit that actually is not that romantic... you will definitely be the center of the party! Use accessories of the floral print's color and if you want to give a spark in your appearence, use them in neon or with stardust shades.

1.Earrings 2.Bracelet

For a more casual appearance that at the same time remains elegant and with a romantic tone, you may use monochrome cloths and accessories, not necessary in the same colors. Just keep in mind not to use more than three colors  if you do not want your outfit to became very "bold". Use a parse that will combine all the three colors and it will definitely bring a hippie and unique note in your appearance!

1.Ring 2.Necklace 3.Earrings

Have a wonderful Friday and an amazing weekend!!!!

GIVEAWAY - Triada... the Spring Lady!!!

Hello my beloved friends!!!

May is here  and also Spring! The weather is really hot for this time of year and this is the correct time period to get off the warm clothes, your boots and your coats and replace them with beautiful and colorful shirts, sandals and accessories!

Is this hard? not at all and believe me this will change your mood and will make you more happy! So... in order to help you with the accessories part, I would love to introduce you a wonderful young lady, an amazing crafter and a very polite person... Triada from ThePurpleBalloon !!!

summer-sea necklace

I tried to figure out what to say about Triada, but to be honest this was something difficult to do. After all what can anyone say about her creations? Visit her collection and you will find out that every single jewel has a story behind it, a dream, a wish and last but not least a talented person to express. To be honest, one other thing I love in her creations are the colors! They definitely make my day!!!!

But let's stop talking and let meet her. Please let me introduce you Triada!!!

*****************************************
People say that everyone has a story to tell about his family’s past. Even though he hasn’t lived any of these different stories, they seem to define him, because all this combines up to a common point- him and his very own special story.

Pet goldfish earrings

My grandfathers and grandmothers were people that they left their birthplaces and lived to several other places and conditions of life. That made them creative. One of them was a great influence on me. He was so creative that he recycled, combined and transformed the most unexpected things into a variety of useful constructions or decorative objects. My parents are creative too and support handmade as a way of life. When I was a child, they were always supporting and encouraging whenever I was trying to make something on my own.

Copper butterfly long necklace

I’m a jewelry collector. My collection consists of a variety of pieces; plastic, felt, vintage, polymer clay, metallic, leather, recycled materials ect. Every piece is precious to me. When I find something new I always get excited and want to have it. That’s why I started making jewelry. I wanted to make things that I‘ve imagined or I couldn’t afford.

Coral heart stud earrings

I opened my Etsy shop about 1 ½ year ago and I’m glad I did. I met some nice and intelligent people and I became more creative. In the future, I would like to learn more about jewelry making techniques, especially silversmith, which is a part I have no knowledge about.

dragonfly bracelet

Supporting handmade is a life style. You get something unique and well made that tells a story. The first sentence of this story is simple; a person made this with fantasy, creativity and love. The rest is yours, because its purpose, the way you use it, the person who is it for and finally the passing of time make it to get a special meaning.

Fashion Trends - Polka Dots!

Hello my friends!

I cannot believe that Friday is already here and soon ...very soon...weekend also! This week's fashion trends post is about.... Polka Dots! A fashion that is always trendy and might be loved or hated!

Polka dots are one of the most playful patterns in existence! They come and go almost every season. Dots can totally change our look and transform any outfit into a chic, romantic and retro look.

The main rule that we have to keep in mind is never to match many pieces with dots! Use them in your accessories with monochrome cloths or a dot dress with monochrome accessories or even one piece with dots and the rest in bright colors or in the colors of the dots!

Polka Dots are practically seasonless  especially in a classic black and white color palette. I chose an dot pants piece and combined it with a fresh yellow leather piece and my favorite blacks!

Black and white is not the only possible combination. You can also choose red or navy blue for a safe and elegant result. A classic spotted sleeveless top on trend peplum design is perfect with a skinny pair of trousers or with a pencil skirt for the office!

And for all of you that I cannot convince you wearing polka dots, here are some extra proposals! Polka dot accessories and jewelry pieces from etsy world!

Happy Dot Weekend!
