Fashion Trends - Autumn Colors!!!

Finally Autumn is here....no I mean it is a little bit colder outside. For me this is a problem since I have to buy new cloths to fit my belly... so what is more comfortable, trendy and really cute for this season? Knit Dresses! I love them. You can wear them in the office, for a coffee or for your night exodus. Just use the correct accessories and you will be gorgeous!

1.Knit Dress  2.Necklace  3.Shoes  4.Leather Bag

Another color that I really love and it is a must have for Autumn and Winter (even thought I think this is an all time classic color) is Burgundy, the Red of the Wine! So beautiful and elegant color and can be combined with many other beautiful colors.

Whatever your style is, this two  colors are must this season...Autumn Colors!!!

Recipe : Vanilla Cupcake with Buttercream Frosting

{ Guest post from Anne }

Hello My Friends!!!!

I know, I haven't write anything in my blog the past three days, but I had a short trip with my family and we had a great time! As you can imagine, being by the sea it is not something that lets you to chat or do anything in internet.

So here I am again with a sweet full of vanilla aroma recipe from a great lady, a wonderful mama... The pink mama!!!

**********************

Hello everyone!

My name is Anne and I blog over at The Pink Momma. I'm a stay-at-home Mom to a 16 month old little girl. Besides blogging, I enjoy cooking, baking and crafting as well. I'm also a freelance cake decorator and you can check out all of my creations on my Facebook page called Anne's Little Pink Shoppe. I also have an Etsy shop called Little Miss Athena which I made handmade hair accessories. I'm such a busy mama! Haha! Anyway, I would like to share a delicious cupcake recipe. One of my favorite, vanilla cupcakes.

Ingredients for the cupcakes:

1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature

2/3 cup (130 grams) granulated white sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups (195 grams) all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup (60 ml) milk

Ingredients for the buttercream frosting:

2 cups (230 grams) powdered sugar/confectioners sugar, sifted

1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk

Directions on making cupcakes:

Preheat over to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy using an electric mixer or a hand mixer. Add eggs one at a time and beat in vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Alternately add the flour mixture and alternately add the milk. Fill the cupcake pan or a muffin cup with the cake batter and bake it for 17-20 minutes. The cupcakes are done when you insert a toothpick at the center and it comes our clean. Let it cool in a cooling rack. Frost it when it's completely cooled.

Directions for buttercream frosting:

Cream the butter until smooth using an electric mixer or a hand mixer. Add the vanilla extract and gradually beat in the sugar. Add the milk. If you want a colored frosting, tint it with your desired color.

This recipe makes about 12 cupcakes.

Voila! You are ready for a cupcake party!

Don't forget to stop by my blog. Every Friday I'm hosting the Fun Friday Blog Hop and would like to invite everyone. I'll see you there :) Thank you so much Zina for having me.

Blue Summer Jewelry - {Product Review}

Hello my beloved friends!

Ok… I am going to repeat myself, but yes…Summer is here and the day is really bright! I love this kind of weather!

So I had a delicious breakfast full of energy (that means a breakfast with cake!) and dressed up for work. Thankfully in my office I do not need to be dressed very official and since I am mostly a casual girl…well… I used my favorite blue jeans and a shirt in sky blue also… so casual.  I completed my outfit with adorable accessories in the same tones... really a Summer outfit don’t you think?

A beautiful ombre pendant with a polymer bead and a unique tassel, made by my friend Dori and a few bracelets stacked together, in blue tones, made by my friend Pineza (as I call her :)).

I am not a model, I do not feel like one (so please be clement with me), but sometimes I do love to share with you things that I like! And what is the best way from wearing them?

I have received these amazing accessories from the ladies in beautiful small boxes with a personal note from them. I do like when they made me feel unique! And I am sure that they do that with every lady wearing their jewels.

The pendant with the beautiful ombre bead from polymer with a mosaic pattern, is really something to wear in every occasion. It is perfect for your bohemian dress or your casual jeans or your elegant white pants.

The tassel completes it and makes it even more unique, don’t you think? I do not know if you can understand the colors in your screen, but Dori did an excellent work with the color’s alternation. She even send me two more tassels in order to change it a bit! I love it!

One of the summer trends I love is jewelry stacking! And these bracelets are the perfect example. The rubber bracelets match perfectly with the macramé one and all of them are so easy to wear and with an amazing texture!

I do wear the rubber bracelets with also beaded jewels (even with pearls)  and the result is just adorable. I do love wearing them and Pineza made them even more personalized by adding a small charm in the aqua blue one. I adore them!

Ha…ok… I am done! I was really anxious about this post, it’s my first one, but I hope you enjoy it! I surely did… and I am lucky enough to have them all…what about you?

Both ladies kindly offer a special gift to my friends too!! Two discount codes!    Now you will be able to have these accessories in your collection in any color you want (did I mention that you can have them in many colors?). Just take a look at their creations…you will definitely become a fan of them. Feeling lucky now????

For HunkiiDorii : code ND6ROIHJJD for 5% discount

For PinezaJewelry shop : code efzinfans for 5% discount

Happy Shopping!!!!

Laura and Heather…our fairytale godmothers!!!!

Hello my beloved friends!

I am really happy and honored to welcome two very talented ladies I have met online. Two sisters, amazing ladies and employed mothers that love to create unique and uncommon accessories for ladies… from our first day on earth since our wedding and not only…!
I am really in love with their creations and I am sure that you will be also. Please let me introduce you and meet Laura and Heather from FeatherRiverBoutique !

Name: Laura Fox and Heather Baker
Occupation: We both work from home. Heather is a controller for a local energy company and Laura is a database admin for a homeschool magazine.
Hobbies: Heather loves to create new designs, sing, bake, and restore old furniture. Laura enjoys photography, singing, and playing the piano and we both enjoy outdoor activities with our families.

Feather River Boutique is a sister team. As kids, we were always coming up with new dress designs for our dolls. Now, with four girls between the two of us, we like to dress up and design accessories for our daughters, whom we regularly use as models.  We mainly design wedding/bridal accessories, hair accessories, and photography props. Heather is the main designer and Laura handles the product photography and customer service, but we each do a little bit of everything.

In addition to running the shop, we both work other jobs from home while caring for our young children. God has blessed us both greatly with wonderful husbands and three beautiful children each. It isn’t always easy running the shop, working, and taking care of our children and our homes, but it is rewarding. We have been privileged to work with some amazing photographers, moms, and brides-to-be. We are so excited to see what the future holds and to meet more amazing friends.

We've been crafting as long as I can remember. Our mom is very crafty and some of that wore off on us. We started the shop when our girl's had more hair accessories than outfits to match them. :) We wanted to share our designs with others and opening our shop seemed to be the best way to do that.

Inspiration comes from all different places. Often, it's a color palette we saw in a magazine or it's one of our daughter's new dresses. It might be an idea for a photo shoot that we need a prop for. It may be the latest wedding color trends. Our four girls have been a huge part of our inspiration. Each has her own little personality and sometimes our designs are created with them specifically in mind. Sometimes, it's a specific request from a customer that gets the creative juices flowing.

Our Favorite materials…… Lots of bling!  We love to use rhinestones and pearls. We use satin in many of our designs too. We also love feathers and lace.

Our favorite creation… Wow, that's a tough one. Sometimes I think I have a favorite and then we come up with something new. I think right now, one of my favorite design is our newborn pink linen bonnet. I love the textures of the linen with the ruffle and the little knots. I love the rich color. I love the versatility. It's perfect for a special occasion, everyday wear, or for photography sessions. But, I also love our bouquets and kind of wish I could get married all over again just so I could use one. ;)

Our hope is that every item we send out is just the right touch for a wedding, or a child's first portrait session, or the perfect gift for someone special. And one day, we would love to be featured in a mainstream bridal or children's magazine.

Aren’t they just adorable? It was a great honor and I feel truly happy I have met Laura and Heather!
