NEW ORIENTAL RING IN PROGRESS
So... this seems to be a highly inspired time for me! This is the new piece I created with the ever-so-inspiring wooden beads from Jana! It's going to be a ring.
I enlarged the off-center hole of the disk, so the glass bead would fit perfectly. Then I decorated the piece with copper and gold dimensional paints. I love the reflections of the vibrant red-orange glass and the oriental look of the piece! It reminds me of oriental markets... magical oriental nights... Marrakesh... spices and souks...

Aegean Sea, Oriental Nights and Enchanted Forests!
With my Treasuries I like to celebrate things I love...
So I dedicated a treasury to the wonderful Aegean Sea that is for sure one of the most beautiful seas in the world...
So I dedicated a treasury to the wonderful Aegean Sea that is for sure one of the most beautiful seas in the world...
...and another Treasury to the magical "oriental nights" I have felt in the air in Rhodes, where the geographical closeness to the Anatolian coast of Turkey to the North and to the Middle East to the East has made me feel so close to other, equally magical starry nights...
...and my first Treasury dedicated to another great love of mine: my beloved woods, where I love having long walks enjoying beauty, peace and nature... I was inspired to this collection by my walks in the woods, an enchanted world that is really close to my soul and a part of it...

MY FIRST ETSY TREASURY!!!
I finally created my FIRST Etsy Treasury!!! Being my first Treasury, I wanted to make it special and I felt it had to be meaningful to me... So I named it "Oriental Dreaming..." and I dedicated it to my fascination for the magical Orient...
I chose great works by very talented artists, who made my first Treasury a joy to create! Looking at it I feel like wandering through magical narrow alleys in a wondrous Oriental city or through a colorful bazar full of magical treasures...

...and here's what I came up with the oriental polymer clay rosettes! I'm really happy with the result! I painted the rosettes in copper and silver... The details came out in a beautiful way. They remind me of magical oriental cities, wonderful mosques and blue and turquoise domes under the blue blue sky of the Orient...

CREATIVE CORNER
I have a beautiful bangle I bought in Tunisia years ago. The details are amazing and I especially love the dome-shaped rosette, it's so detailed and perfect for creating a mold for oriental-style jewelry!

After baking the mold, I used polymer clay to create oriental rosettes in light blue and turquoise. I'm going to use them for my next project! Surprise surprise... you'll see the results soon! :)
So I created a mold with polymer clay. Polymer clay is great for creating molds, it takes up the texture in a very detailed way. Look at the details in the second picture!
