Micro world...

Hello my friends!!!

Well, today we have a really rainy day... finally Autumn is here! That's why I think that this post is just perfect for today! Autumn colors, nature pictures with my macro! Oh! I love my macro in my camera...it gives me the feeling that it can capture details that my eyes cannot see.

Of course I didn't manage to have pictures with a huge zoom...but I have photos from details that I want to remember. Where I shoot them? in the forester village I have told you about a few days ago...this is actually the second post for that trip we had! Hope you will enjoy it!

All over the place there were too many chestnuts!!! I adore them!

So many beautiful colors....

Drops of  water in a spider's cobweb... isn't amazing?

It is really beautiful where you can find small plants and moss...

Smurfs are everywhere....

Like a wonderful Christmas Tree...

Wonderful colors...Autumn is here :)

Imagine how many other things we cannot see... just imagine!

After all it is really beautiful to have great posts with gorgeous subjects in the blog...so I have decided to post a few...just to make sure that you will see what an amazing place it was....

so somewhere between Lamia city and Karpenisi city, in a small forester village....the colors are so many, so beautiful, so bright and bold at the same time...something that you will always remember....

Beautiful small wooden houses into the forest...

A spectacular view of the mountains and the valley...

Trees, trees everywhere! I love Green!!!

And a wonderful blue sky...

We were lucky I guess that we have visited this place during Autumn...the colors of the trees, of the grass, of the leaves are simple amazing!

Just Green, Brown and sparks of Orange...

Crystal, cold water...

And when the day ends... a "rainbow" on the horizon!

The Island I love!!!

 {Guest post from Loulalalou

Hello My friends!!!

I am really happy to have my friend Loula from Loulalalou as guest blogger today! I think we are lucky to have a beautiful post about a gorgeous island in Greece today that officially Summer is here! so....

*******
Hi!!

I'm Loula and I would like to introduce you the island I live. Syros!
Let me share with you the part of Syros that I love more! Some secluded, wild and peaceful  places in the island that you can enjoy walking and following the island's paths. Great locations that car cannot approach and the “human civilization”is far away.

So the only things that you will need here ...are your senses!...OK, and maybe a comfortable pair of shoes and some water!

So have a look at some things that I really enjoy in my walks!

Small dales where some streams flow inside them in winter,

Ruined cottages,

the view from the top of a hill,

the stone fences which we call “xerolithies” and

the sunlight on the stone,

swimming and looking at the sunset in a beach,

walking with my family and friends!

Αnd last but not least me in one of my favorite spots!

This is my island, my dreams, my feelings....my life!
η ζωή μου!
*******

wow...amazing trip!  Thank you Loula!!!

And if you want to discover more about Loula, please meet her in

Have a wonderful weekend...and if you visit Siros..who knows...maybe you will meet Loula also! Lucky you!

My beloved town... Agios Nikolaos!!!!

Hello my friends!

At last I have in my hands (or should I say in my pc…) the pictures I took from my home town almost a month ago, when I was on family Easter’s vacation. We were lucky since during that week in my beloved island the weather was almost like Summer, really sunny and really hot!

My home town is not a big one, actually it can be considered as a small one, but it is really beautiful with amazing beaches, unique corners and natural beauty that will definitely be loved. Even though Crete is a big island,  when you are in Agios Nikolaos you can truly realize that you are in an island… every step drives you to the sea and the blue color is all around. Sky ends where sea starts.

One thing that I love in my place is that you can also visit other adorable places near the main town, like Elounda or Plaka. And even though these two villages are really close to Agios Nikolas, they look very different. In Elounda the sea is not deep, you can enjoy the  fresh air full of the smells from the sea and have a drink just next to the beach.

On the other hand Plaka is a short trip to the past. Beautiful houses from stone with Cretan architecture and Spinalonga island just a mile away. If you close your eyes you can “hear” the voices of the people that leaved there….

I love my town, I love the people, my friends are still there. People are simple, with great hospitality and a great sense of humor. Have a cup of coffee with them or a raki and you will definitely feel that you knew them since ever.

When the day ends... the colors are simple amazing! I love to sit and admire them, while I am dreaming and this is exactly the perfect way to think what this day brought and leave behind the problems. A beautiful night is coming and soon a new day.

One of the jokes here in Greece is about Cretans and how much they love their island… I adore it, not just love it. I know that when I am there I laugh, I enjoy life, I meet good friends, I smile without being anxious and I relax by the sea. I live well… Ef Zin :)

Walking around in Nafplio - Our Past Future....

Oh yes, I know, Ive spoken about Nafplio already! Well we all have the tendency to say again and again how much fun we’ve had when we did have a great time, don’t we? I promise it’s going to be the last time …for this month at least!

This time I am not going to talk about Nafplio as a town, but about its old railway station. It’s one of the city’s most famous landmarks. For some it could just be an ugly image of something old that’s been left without care. It may be thatbut there is another side to it. The side of something old that holds so many memories and experiences and brings old and new together in one. Paintings, images, simple words of young people filled with anxieties, ready to make their own journey…

The engine…carrying so many vagons filled with feelings hopes...

....now harbors simple talk filled with expectations…

"One’s darkness becomes light when he finds another”

The entrance or waiting hall as the sign reads. Waiting for a better tomorrow?

Simple words… “Ive lived in your lips

Ready to make its new journey! The journey as defined by ourselves…

 Because everything is a road!

Have a great day!

Walking around in Nafplio

Hello my friends!

Happy new week! I hope you have had an amazing weekend! I did! It was our first short excursion with my daughter and I mean that we had to stay in a hotel. I was really anxious in the beginning but my girl was having such a great time, that every concern has gone.

We went to Nafplio, a beautiful coastal small town only 1.5h away from Athens and we visited a couple of good friends. I love Nafplio and to be honest I cannot decide if I love this town more on winter or on summer. On winter you can walk in its narrow streets while it is raining and have a warm aromatic tea in one of its beautiful and cute small cafés, while a couple of people play great songs with their guitar. So romantic.
But on summer you can sit by the sea and have great fish plates (aka mezedes) with cold beer or ouzo, after your swim in the amazing beaches.

As you can imagine, having a 2years old girl running around is not that easy to photo every single beautiful corner or detail of the houses, streets, people..so I have chosen a few pictures just to get the idea.

In the morning, the blue sea was so peaceful that I thought that it is easy to swim and get to Bourtzi island…well it is not easy at all…do not try it :)

Spring is here and aromatic plants were all over the place…even around the windows…

Every single corner is decorated with old but at the same time useful items!

You can admire unique shop full of handmade creations.

In the afternoon, the sun and the clouds were playing hide and seek, leaving us with a great smile in our face. Beautiful, isn't it?

Amazing town, great history, adorable pictures, unforgettable memories… Have a great week!

kisses....
