DIY - Cute Button Bracelet

One thing that I love is creating cute jewels with common materials. Materials that everyone has in their house. So using only buttons, small wooden beads and cord we can craft colorful bracelets perfect for ourselves or for our princesses.

You will only need 5min to craft them and with the lowest cost!

Materials:

-      - Synthetic buttons with 2 or four wholes

-      - Cord

-      - A small piece of a band

  - Wooden beads

Procedure:

Cut a piece of the cord you have chosen with the at least the double length of your wrist. Wrap it up in the middle and pass it from the two holes of the button. Create a knot and your clasping is almost ready.

Now use your imagination and combine the wooden beads with the buttons. In the specific bracelet ( I crafted for my daughter) I used a grass green button in the middle and a couple of wooden beads in each side. Just do not forget to make a knot in each side of the specific materials.

Tie the two  ends of the cord and your bracelet is ready!!! 

In order to add more color or a beautiful detail, create a bow from your favorite band. 

Your Bracelet is ready!!!

Use a bigger piece of cord and create an anklet instead of a bracelet or you may use an elastic cord for baby girl's bracelet! Use your imagination and create masterpieces in a few minutes only!!!!

Happy Birthday my Princess!!!

I know…I know… I was away from my blog for a few days but my Princess had her birthday yesterday and as you can imagine I didn’t want to miss anything from the specific day! So after we had a small birthday party in home, we also celebrated her birthday in the kindergarten with her friends! It was a beautiful small party but a great experience!

And yes we also got her a gift… her first bicycle in hot pink color with strawberries and a cute crash-helmet with Minnie Mouse!

A few good friends of mine also got her gorgeous handmade gifts, that she loved! And I would like to show them to you…

Aren't they cute???? Thank you ladies!!!!

We had a great time and I am really surprised how easy years pass and how fast my girl grows up! So Happy Birthday my Princess!!!!

A walk in Parnitha... Forest Lover!!!

Hello my friends!!!

It seems that I am in great mood for walks and excursions a few months before having my second baby. October is a beautiful month to visit the forest, since the colors are simple amazing and the weather is hot enough.

So last weekend we had a small walk on Parnitha, a mountain near Athens. The weird thing is that even thought there are many great places to visit in Attica, I never did so far and now I am trying to visit as many as I can. Good friends, comfortable cloths, great mood, a few snacks and we are ready!

So our first stop was a small lake and my daughter loved it. Ok actually it is a tiny one, but at least we had the chance to see ducks, turtles and a swan! I have to say that next time I will carry more bread, since my princess feed them with our bread! :)

Since we wanted to get a better feeling of the forest, we moved to a beautiful, peaceful, and full of trees glade and we had a great pick nick. Having a short walk in the forest paths is really something unique. I felt like Aragon will appear in a while... yeah ok... at least I was expecting Aragon from Lord of the rings and not Tingerbell as my princess did. And yes, we spend 30min walking around to find her! Guess what...we didn't!!!

What I love most in the forest is its "microworld" , its "details" , its amazing creatures, plants and colors! My camera macro is what I loved here... so what if it is small?You still can admire it!

So, weekend is near, plan a small excursion with family and friends and have a great time. After all this memories last forever!!!

Walking on the streets...

Hello my friends!!!

Sunday is here and it is a beautiful opportunity to have a short walk or an excursion! As far as I know weather will be fine, so what about a small excursion?

Last weekend also, the weather in Athens were sunny and hot enough. So I had the chance to take my family and good friends and have a short but beautiful walk in Athen's centre.

 If you have the time and you are not tired you can easily spend a few hours walking around in the small not that noisy roads and you will discover beautiful cafe, adorable shops (esspecialy with old books and magazines and vintage and handmade creations) and amazing restaurants. 

As you can imagine having my princess with me, the above was not that easy to do it... but at least I tried.

Acropole is really amazing... a miracle. If you haven't visited it, try to do it. You will not be regretted. After all...the centre (and especially in Thisio) there are always beautiful icons to remind you the past...

But what I like most are the street creations from romantic, not popular artists...

The most amazing is that every time you can discover more beautiful corners and streets and images.... just be relaxed and enjoy...
